Today, the class reviewed the use of the imprefect tense.  The assignment for today is worksheet 1 and worksheet 2.

Today the class continued working with the Chapter 2 vocabulary by completing a crossword and translating p 69.  The assignment is in the Practice Workbook, 2-3, 2-4.

Monday, January 25

Today the class practiced the vocabulary from Chapter 2.  The assignment is in the Practice Workbook 2-1, 2-2.

Thursday, January 21

Today the class took the Chapter 1 exam.  Today's assignment is the vocabulary on page 91.

Today the class continued practicing with the indirect object pronouns.  The topic of the day was other uses of lo and lo que.  The assignment is in the Practice Workbook sheets 1-8, 1-9.

Today the class continued practicing the vocabulary and also reviewed the use of the direct object pronoun.  The assignment is a direct object pronoun worksheet.

Wednesday, January 13

The topic of the day was making commands.  Although the notes explain all commands, we only focused on the affirmative tu commands.  Today's assignment is in the Practice Workbook, sheet 1-5.

Tuesday, January 12

Today we continued practicing the Chapter 1 Vocabulary.  The assignment is in the Practice Workbook, pages 1-3, 1-4.

There will be a vocabulary quiz on Friday.

Monday, January 11

Today we began Chapter 1.  The topic of the day was the Chapter 1 Vocabulary.  The assignment is in the practice workbook 1-1, 1-2.

Friday, January 8

Today we continued practicing the preterit tense.  The assignment is the chapter 1 vocabulary on page 57--defined in English.

Thursday, January 7

Today we practiced more with the rules of accentuation.  The topic of the day was a review of the preterit (past) tense.  The assignment for today was an -ar preterit worksheet and an -er/-ir preterit worksheet.

There will be a quiz on the accent rules tomorrow, 1/8.

Wednesday, January 6

Sorry I'm a day behind on this post.  I had a meeting right after school.  The topic of the day was the rules of accentuation.  The assignment was to underline the natural accent for each of the words from this list.

Tuesday, January 5

Today the class checked textbooks out of the library.  Students do not need to bring them to class for the time being.  I have set for in-class use, but that might change.  I also distributed practice workbooks to all of the students who were present. The topic of the day was reflexive verbs.  The assignment is a reflexive verb worksheet.

Happy New Year everyone!  Today I welcomed a new batch of students into class.  We went over the course syllabus and reviewed the present tense.  The assignment for tonight is a present tense worksheet.
